The Undone: Do It, Part 2

Part 2 shifted the private experience of Part 1 to a participatory group experience. Crosby rode a stationary bicycle attached to a series of dynamo generators while live-patching a tape-recorded audio story based on choices made by audience members communicating via Slack polls. Cuing the audience with a megaphone to choose to Escape into Fantasy, Warp Time, Change Perspective, Play a Game or End it All, I used a patch bay to switch between four different tape decks, each with an associated library of pre-recorded story material on cassette. This piece was a meditation on the futility, doom, and hilarity of caregiving for a terminally ill person with all its associated chaos and technical difficulties.
